The Miscanthus ‘Kleine Silberspinne’ is a large growing decorative grass which can be planted in a garden. The grass has an erecting growth habit with hanging leaves. The leaves are green coloured with a silvery-white centre line. During the autumn, the leaves colour to a more yellow-orange colour. Furthermore, the Miscanthus flowers from September till November. Red plumes reach out above the grass. During the year, the plumes change colour to a more silvery-white colour.

Care

The Miscanthus ‘Kleine Silberspinne’ can be planted in all proper garden soil. Furthermore, taking care of the Miscanthus is not very hard. The grass prefers a sunny spot with permeable soil. It is recommended to prune the grass in March. The Miscanthus is winter hardy, however, it is not evergreen. The Miscanthus flowers from September to October. Eventually, the plant is able to grow up to 150 cm! Furthermore, the grass is not toxic for animals.

The Miscanthus ‘Kleine Silberspinne’ will be delivered with a height of approximately 60-80 cm (measured including pot). The width of the pot is 23 cm.
