Japanese Maple Acer Black Lace - set of 2

Acer palmatum ‘Black Lace’ is a rare ‘limited edition’ Japanese maple! This beautiful little Acer tree has deeply cut and lobed leaves. When the leaves first appear in spring, they are a striking reddish-purple, which gradually change to bronze-green in summer. In autumn, they change again, giving a spectacular display of rich purples and glowing oranges. So this Acer gives you something to look forward to almost every season. The Acer Black Lace will grow into a striking tree suitable for the medium-sized garden, growing up to 2 metres tall.

Care:
Japanese Maples are best planted from March to early October. During this period the soil is warm and the plants can root well. In a planter, this plant does not require special potting soil. Japanese Maples are strong plants but in a windy location, the leaves can be damaged. Therefore, place the Acer in a sheltered spot. The plant prefers a spot in semi-shade, preferably not too much direct sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can dry out the roots, leading to leaf loss and burning.
A Japanese Maple is not evergreen, meaning it loses its leaves in winter. However, the plant is very hardy and will sprout again from March with beautiful new leaves.
