Mix of 3 Sedum

Sedum (Stonecrop) is an easy to grow group of succulents that look great in the summer and autumn garden. The sedums are a wildly variable group with long narrow stems that grow along the ground and form mats of colourful fleshy foliage. Traditionally, creeping sedums are grown for their colourful foliage (blue, yellow, copper, marron and more!) or for their draping form which softens the edge of containers and the rock walls that they have been tucked into. Although not specifically grown for flowers, creeping sedums do produce attractive but short sprays of flowers. The sedum keeps expanding and can have a spread of 100cm wide and (only) 10cm high.

Because the Sedum plants are descended from succulents, they are very easy to care for. Succulents (succulents) hardly need any water, because they can store water in their leaves. Therefore, Sedum hardly needs water as well. Furthermore, it is important that the plant is placed in good soil, preferably not in too wet and fertile soil. If this happens, the Sedum will fall apart because its stems are getting too heavy. It is also possible to prune the Sedum plants. Do this in October and then cut the dead flower stems to just above the ground. Be careful with Sedum, since the plants are toxic for pets and children.

This mix contains three different species of Sedum:

  • Sedum reflexum aurea (yellow)
  • Sedum reflexum angelina (green)
  • Sedum spurium purpur winter (red)

Each set contains 3 different sedum plants in a 12cm wide pot. The plant will be delivered with a height of 10 – 15 cm (measured with pot).
